American Author Thesis
Now that you have written your essay, we ask that you reflect on the reading portion of the experience and write 100-150 words about your author.
Think of what you write as advice for someone next year and beyond, someone who (like you were doing last fall) is thinking about choosing your author - and maybe even the same three books - to read for the assignment.

I am glad I chose to read the novels of Harlan Coben because of the way he is able to entice the reader to continue reading with his constant plot twists. I was constantly on edge, wondering what was going to happen next. While reading all three books, I was thinking non stop about what I thought was going to happen. However, the themes of the three stories were very difficult to similarize. The plots were all polar opposites, and it took a while to find the smallest connection between them. Even after that, writing the essay was a lot more difficult than it should have been. Overall, I think the reading part of the Author Thesis was very enjoyable, however, the essay part was very difficult and hard to complete. I would definitely read more of his books, but I will not recommend him to anyone trying to find an author for this assignment.
